I might have to try this and give it a chance. Unfortunately the smell doesnât appeal to me as I first smelled takeaway Katsu curry on the night train home where it mingled with other unsavoury smells! Plus as I get older my stomach tolerates spicy food less and less.

Im in the US. I saw it when I was in London in 2019. I was afraid to try it because to be honest most of the food in the UK tasted bland to me. I was scared to ruin my memory of Coco's in Japan.

In QLD Australia Iâve found instant single serve packets of CoCo curry sauce in some Asian grocery stores. Two serves per packet and it tastes just as good as in Japan. The London branches are probably importing the sauce from Japan, no cooking from scratch required, and ensuring the same taste.

I finally had Coco Curry in Ph last month. It was huge !and it was around 350 php, very good price because you will definitely be full, I almost didn't finish it. The spice scale was 1-10 too, not a fan of spicy stuff so, i just ordered level 1, it wasn't as sweet as the other Japanese curry that I tried. I didn't notice if they offer a more sweeter sauce. It' is good, but I wouldn't recommend this everyday ahhaha. they don't have upside down plants though ð which is a good thing I think

I try to avoid London, but if I'm ever there I'll give it a try, no surprise it's twice the price though.
If you ever get back to Japan and like spicy stuff, try Kikanbo Kanda Main Store. It specialises in spicy ramen and is my fave ramen place in the world. Just don't go for the top level of spice unless you're a masochist lol. It's between Akihabara and Kanda stations, real easy to find.
Somehow I didn't know Coco was in London the last time I was over in September but plan on going there when I'm over next month. Glad to get a bit more information about the place from somebody who has been to it in both Japan and London.
I would love to try this. Itâs exactly the sort of thing I will forget about next time Iâm there though. ð

Haha unfortunately I absolutely love the garlic bits ð the first time we went they had feedback cards and I requested they bring garlic bits to the menu but it's not happened yet ð we do love visiting Coco in London, not quite as good as Japan but some of their additional menu items are good! My partner likes the kimchi in his curry, and we'd convinced ourselves that gyoza was a topping in Japan that I often steam us gyoza when we have a curry ð

Interesting to see the changes made to the menu in London, I suspect most of it has to do with the different culture and expectations around curry, since due to the Indian influence it's so common in Britain and people may wonder what's different about Japanese curry. I'll have to compare the two on future visits. You didn't mention it, but which Tube lines are these closest to? Thanks for the video!
We did what we called a Japan day in London we went to Coco Curry, the Japan Centre and UNIQLO I still prefer go go Curry if they have those in this country I would be so happy
