It would be nice if these were single-serving plates, or maybe they were. Because there is no way that my hubby and I could polish off this meal, regardless of a time limit. I would have had some stashed away containers in my over-sized purse.
Oh I an glad that you did try to enjoy it as much as possible, since it looks like the chef put lots effort in the food preparation: It looks lovely!
Also, I didn't pick it up, so I have to ask: was this in japan? In japan it's custom to order only what you want to eat at a buffet, not what you can eat, so restaurants might be unprepared for guests trying to eat them out of the house. This would make it even more impressive that they managed to accommodate you!

Thanks to this video I now know better what to order if I drop by, since I'm quite a light eater (can only stomach a few items now), yet like both rice, veggies, meat and fish (and always get overwhelmed by choices).
